HEX

(60-min occult drama)

When an occult ritual gone wrong results in the death of her childhood friend, a rebel 17-year-old is confined to a home for troubled teens where, aided by her ride-or-die on the outside, she employs extreme measures to rectify her relationship with the powerful forces at play.

An exploration of extreme belief systems that delves into the underground-outsider culture of punk teens in the ‘90s + worldwide witchcraft traditions + radical eco-activism + abusive homes for wayward misfits + the dark side of the human potential movement, HEX is a story about power — who has it, what gives it to us, and the lengths we’ll go to claim it.

HEX : A podcast inquisition

(a found audio ‘true crime’ investigative podcast)

In 1997, a self-proclaimed “witch bitch” confined at a home from troubled teens secretly sent cassette tape audio letters to her best friend back home.

In 2023, Sara West discovers the tapes and launches a podcast investigating both the tapes creator’s connection to the 1997 death of Sara’s high school best friend and her mysterious disappearance only months later.

Set in present day, HEX: A PODCAST INQUISITION is a true-crime investigative podcast told over two decades that centers around a cache of cassette tapes discovered in the wall of a centuries-old farmhouse. A companion piece to the HEX television series, the podcast is hosted by the nemesis of the tv series’ leads, now in her late 30’s.

Incorporating real world elements that blur the line between fact and fiction, the investigation turns into a real-life horror story after the host becomes hell-bent on constructing a narrative to fit her own version of events.
